Wreck It Ralph (2012)

Wreck-It Ralph -- What happens when the bad guy gets tired of being bad and wants to turn the tides and feel appreciated? Wreck it Ralph, the 'villain' in the game "Fix it Felix jr" feels the same and to accomplish the feat he goes from his own game in the arcade to other games and wrecks havoc everywhere. He makes new friends, some enemies and ultimately realizes the truth behind his identity... Amazing animation, full of colors and really cute, this film stirs the nostalgia of old video-games and makes the viewer smile and frown with the characters. Being overtly critical, the story line(not the idea) was a little cliched, but that's what you expect from a Disney animation venture. All in all a really fun film to watch....

Toy Story 3

The distant memories of childhood all rush back while watching toy story... And it was no different for the third installment of this classic pixar franchise, arguably one of the best animated film series ever which gets better with each film..... 

Andy is 17 years old and now he has to go to college.. Will he abandon his old  playmates buzz, woody, jesse and others and put them with trash? Or will he stash them in the attic? The confusion lingers on as new places, new toys and new adventures unravel before us...

Toy story leaves us spellbound at the innocence of childhood, the fragrance of old days that linger on, the decisions we have to make, the hearts we have to break, the unfulfilled promises,, but the thing which shines out amidst all these is the feeling of togetherness... Whatever be the situation, the warm feeling of friends looking after you and caring for you.. 

5 centimeters per second

This was like a poem flowing,,,, flowing through the flying cherry blossoms, touching the drifting snow flakes, trying to meet with the sky riding on the wings of the bird,,,,, a poem which fell as tears from the eyes of akari,, a poem which was etched on the snow splattered glass window of the train through which takaki's distant gaze marked his eternal wait.. a poem written on the tracks of the lives of everyone,, moving 5 centimeters away from each other,, each second....

Mary and max(2009)

I wanted to watch a light hearted funny film the night before my exams.. So i chose an animation film,based upon my previous experiences with animation, which have almost always lightened me up..... But this one was a hell lot different....this was my 2nd slowmotion claymotion animation film,, and i noticed that these kinda movies give a more lasting impression... just like molding a bit of soft clay.... This movie id severely depressing,,, and i mean it in a positive way.. the way max and mary's characters were etched out,, one colourless,the other multicolored,,although both their worlds were virtually colourless,,, the way their relationship develops over a series of letters,, how it moves with passing time........ this was a result of a very close observation of many different characters and arguably a work of great precision....
